Should I put the gold pinstripes back on one day?

It does add something to the truck, if they were factory I would. My Mercedes was touched up with the original color and it doesn’t have the thin double stripe down the side, I have considered putting it back someday.

They were factory. That and white vinyl over the "DODGE" on the tailgate

I think it adds to the Radwood feel a bit. Plus it’s factory. I vote yeah!

I love me some sweet pi nstriping, but gold on grey just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe a more contrasting color?

My Dark Blue 81 D150 had the gold stripes like this.

With the right base color (I had light blue) the pinstripes look nice, but I’d leave them off . I remember t he decals didn’t really hold up to wear very well on work trucks , and I don’t think anybody who replaced a body panel ever put the stripes back on even if they matched the paint . That said, today you might find some that are made much better than the original 1980s stuff .

Same for things like the black trim pieces some had on the lower body. Drive through the woods for firewood, the brush catches enough to start popping the fasteners loose, and one day you come back with just a row of white plastic clips .
